In research

Securing today's data against tomorrow's computers.

Research to help UAE entities plan and complete their move to post-quantum encryption.

The problem

Future quantum computers are expected to break the public-key encryption that protects identities, payments and government communications today. Data harvested now can be decrypted later, so the move to post-quantum cryptography has to begin before those computers exist.

Questions we are researching

  • How should thousands of cryptographic assets be ranked by real business and national risk, not just by algorithm?
  • How can live systems in banking, identity, ports and utilities move to post-quantum algorithms without downtime?
  • How can applications become crypto-agile, so algorithms can be changed again without rewriting software?
  • How do hybrid classical and post-quantum schemes perform on UAE networks, devices and legacy hardware?

What we plan to build

Planned outputs. Each passes the lab's stage gates before it is offered to anyone.

Quantum risk engine
Scores each cryptographic asset by exposure, data lifetime and criticality.
Migration planner
Generates a phased migration roadmap with dependencies and effort.
Post-quantum test lab
A UAE-hosted environment to test post-quantum performance on realistic systems.
